Thinking Matters Camp
CYC partners with Thinking Matters to host a camp for teens and young adults, equipping them to stand strong and confident in their faith. The camp is led by an experienced team from Thinking Matters, who have successfully run multiple camps and events across the South Island and more recently in the North Island.
Thinking Matters Camp North
More and more young people are finding it hard to stand strong in their faith.
Questions about truth, culture, and belief can feel overwhelming, and too often, they’re left without real answers.
That’s why we run Thinking Matters Camps. For one unforgettable week, students are immersed in an environment that is fun, encouraging, and deeply faith-building. They’ll hear from passionate speakers, wrestle with tough questions in a safe space, and walk away better equipped to live out their faith with confidence.
12 – 16 JANUARY 2026

Thinking Matters Camp
Did you know that 70% of young adults leave the church by the age of 22? Or that only 4% of Gen Z hold a Biblical Worldview?
We’re dedicated to combatting this by empowering young minds to answer tough questions, doubt their doubts, and defend the Christian faith to be able to navigate our culture with confidence. Through engaging discussions and interactive sessions, we’ll explore the toughest questions facing believers today. Not only will we provide answers, but we’ll also equip participants with the tools to study the Bible for themselves.
From classrooms to workplaces and beyond, we’ll guide students on how to boldly stand for Christ in every aspect of their lives. Campers will leave camp as confident ambassadors of their faith. Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to deepen your faith, connect with like-minded peers, and learn about God!
CAMP SPEAKERS - TRIPP AND MEGAN ALMON
We're thrilled to announce that Tripp and Megan Almon will be travelling from the USA to equip us and be our keynote speakers for the week. Tripp and Megan are international speakers from Stand to Reason, USA (formerly Summit Ministries speakers). Tripp serves as the Student Impact Director and Outpost Coordinator at Stand to Reason, and together he and Megan have spent years equipping young people to think biblically about truth, culture, and worldview. Their engaging and practical teaching helps students live and lead with clarity, confidence, and purpose.
