Leadership Training and Development (LTDC)/3IC
Christian Youth Camps INC (otherwise known as CYC) in Ngāruawāhia New Zealand is looking for a new Administration Manager/2IC. Christian Youth Camps is a 450-bed Christian Camp that focuses year-round on school holiday ministry camps and school camps. CYC’s Special Character is deeply based in its Christian Biblical foundation that defines, underpins and guides everything that we do at CYC. CYC has a dedicated team that is committed to growing our guests in all aspects of their lives, particularly their spiritual growth.
The LTDC will work closely with the Director, Administration Manager, Ministry Coordinator and Operations Coordinator. The LTDC is part of the senior leadership team at CYC.
The role of Leadership Training and Development Coordinator (LTDC) 3IC includes but is not limited to:
Curriculum Development for guest groups and CYC Camps.
Leading the curriculum development, training and administration of teen age volunteer leaders.
Leading and managing all aspects of the administration and mentoring of interns and adult volunteers.
Assisting the Ministry Coordinator where needed with planning and execution of CYC Ministry Camps.
Being a senior part of CYC leadership team as Third in Charge in the absence of the Director and Administration Manager.
Our ideal candidate would be:
Fully in agreement with CYC’s Statement of Faith.
Someone who already has considerable experience in working with teenagers in Christian camping, teaching, or has a Christian youth work background.
Has proven leadership ability in running or helping run a team in previous employment.
Is a team player that can also remain focused and motivated while working individually.
Problem solving skills is a must along with the ability to work and react calmly under pressure.
Specific Skills and other requirements:
A confident level of computer literacy, including, Xero accounting software, all Microsoft Apps, Canva and other photo and graphic editing software applications, social media apps etc.
An advantage would be a good working knowledge of Venue 360 booking software.
The role requires that the successful applicant lives onsite, in the accommodation provided.
