Arrivals and Departures
Pick-Up Conditions
If you plan to arrive late or leave camp early, please call our office in advance. Please note that fees cannot be adjusted. If someone other than the parent/guardian listed on file will be picking up your child, you must call or email our office to add them as an authorised pick-up. Anyone picking up a child maybe asked to show photo ID.
What time do I pick up?
The drop off and pick up times vary from different camps. Check the camps details as you sign up or the important information attachment in your registration confirmation.
Can my child just stay for the day?
We completely understand that for many of our younger campers, it might be their first time staying away from home, and that can feel like a big step! We encourage campers to stay overnight as part of the full experience! Often campers settle in quickly and really enjoy it once they're here. Please note that our camp fees remain the same as it still a reserved place in the program regardless if they stay overnight.

Health Care at Camp
My child needs to take medication, how do they get it?
At arrival, drop off any medication to the Camp First Aider. Parents/guardians will need to fill in a Medical Consent Form for administering details. In orientation, we will tell campers where the first aid room is and who to see if they are not well.
What happens if my child is injured or sick?
All our full time staff have current first aid certificates. We have a designated staff member who is the First Aider at camp. They administers meds.
General Camp Questions
What is CYC’s refund policy?
A minimum of 7 days’ notice is required to receive a refund of camp fees, minus a $5 administration fee. Fees are non-refundable for campers who leave during the event for any reason.
Can I make a cabinmate request for my child?
Sure thing. We do our best to accommodate cabinmate requests, with a few guidelines to ensure fairness and a great experience for everyone:
- one cabinmate request per camper.
- Both campers must request each other, and the request must be mutual (one camper requesting only the other).
Please keep in mind that we’re unable to accommodate requests for larger groups, as we aim to create balanced cabin experiences for all our guests.
Do you have a waitlist?
Yes. If a camp is full we move to a waitlist. We reach out to the next person on the list when a space becomes available. If you are trying to attend with a friend, the best chance is to register at the same time. You can register for the camp if it has gone to waitlist.
What's CYC's cellphone rules?
Cell phones can only be used by the discretion of the program coordinator. Campers need to hand cell phones in at bed time if I they are under 18 or have discussed this prior with the program coordinator.
Kids camp and Jkids camp are cell phone free for campers.
Teens camp and Junior Kids Camp are on at the same time. How does this work?
Although both camps operate on the same dates, they are run as completely separate programmes. Each camp has its own dedicated leaders, activity schedule, and spaces on site. Junior Kids and Teens do not mix at any point during the programme, and all activities are fully supervised. This ensures both age groups enjoy a safe, age-appropriate, and well-supported camp experience.
Are boys and girls in separate accommodation?
Yes. All cabins and sleeping areas are separated by gender. Boys and girls stay in different accommodation blocks, and leaders are assigned to a cabin to provide support and supervision. While campers join together for daily activities, all accommodation remains separated at all times.
