Thinking Matters Camp

CYC partners with Thinking Matters to host a camp for teens and young adults, equipping them to stand strong and confident in their faith. The camp is led by an experienced team from Thinking Matters, who have successfully run multiple camps and events across the South Island and more recently in the North Island.

Thinking Matters Camp North

Know What You Believe. Know Why You Believe It.

Most Christian kids can tell you what they believe. Fewer can tell you why, and fewer still can hold their ground when a professor, a friend, or their own late-night doubts start pushing back.

That's what this camp is for.

We're here to help you wrestle with the hard questions about God, the Bible, suffering, truth, culture - to help you build a faith is actually yours. Through honest discussion, real debate, and hands-on Bible study, you'll learn how to think clearly, ask better questions, and stop being afraid of the ones you can't yet answer.

By the end of the week, you'll have a way of thinking that goes with you into the classroom, the workplace, the group chat, wherever you need it. You'll leave ready to stand for what you believe, without needing to fake certainty you don't feel.

Come to camp to think hard. Come to dig deep. Come to build a faith that can stand up to the constant attacks it takes.

11 - 15 JANUARY 2027

Ages 15-20

You will need to create an account to register below.

Did you know that 70% of young adults leave the church by the age of 22? Or that only 4% of Gen Z hold a Biblical Worldview?

We’re dedicated to combatting this by empowering young minds to answer tough questions, doubt their doubts, and defend the Christian faith to be able to navigate our culture with confidence. Through engaging discussions and interactive sessions, we’ll explore the toughest questions facing believers today. Not only will we provide answers, but we’ll also equip participants with the tools to study the Bible for themselves.

From classrooms to workplaces and beyond, we’ll guide students on how to boldly stand for Christ in every aspect of their lives. Campers will leave camp as confident ambassadors of their faith. Don’t miss out on this incredible opportunity to deepen your faith, connect with like-minded peers, and learn about God!

CAMP SPEAKERS

After an awesome week last camp, we're stoked to announce that Tripp and Megan Almon are making the trip to once again be our camp speakers!

Equipped with years of training and experience, Tripp and Megan are here to help you ask, answer, and defend the tough questions. They work for Stand to Reason, one of the largest apologetics organisations in the world, and have spent years helping young people think biblically about truth, culture, and worldview.

If you were at camp last year, you already know why we're excited to have them back. If you weren't, then get ready. This is teaching that's practical, engaging, and worth coming for...
