Christian Youth Camps Incorporated (CYC) is situated in Waingaro Road, Ngaruawahia, New Zealand, and is looking for a person to work as a Chef in the Main Kitchen working alongside our Catering Coordinator and 2nd Chef.

CYC is a residential Christian Camp that sleeps up to 450 people divided over two areas on a 38ha property nestled on the edge of the Hakarimata Ranges. CYC is 25 minutes north of Hamilton and an hour and fifteen minutes south of downtown Auckland.

CYC serves all kinds of groups, from schools and family reunions, to churches and church youth, but our passion is our own holiday camps run every school holidays.

At CYC we all share a strong affinity with the special character, Christian purpose, and Mission Statement of CYC.

The role of Chef is a full-time 42.5 hours per week role including some weekend work.

The role includes being able to work alone from time to time as well as leading a Kitchen Team in the absence of the other two Chefs.

Most food at CYC is prepared from scratch, so bringing flare to the menu is important as one of the memories we would like our guests to have of CYC is the great food!

The ideal applicant would also have:

•              A passion for preparing quality and tasty food.

•              Proven skills and willingness to learn.

•              The ability to work as a key part of a team as well as working unsupervised as required.
