Expectations and Rules I agree to read the CYC Leader's Manual and abide by the guidelines and expectations outlined in it. My number one goal is to look out for the needs of campers at camp, and to set a good Biblical example in all areas of camp life. I will strive to live a Godly life outside of camp as well. I will not engage in inappropriate physical contact between leaders and campers, or leaders and other leaders at any time while at camp. I will treat all campers and leaders with brotherly/sisterly love. My sole focus will be on the campers and not on my friends – no congregating! If you have a boyfriend/girlfriend at camp, for the week of camp you are not to show physical affection, or go off alone with that person. I agree to sleep in your designated bunkroom unless otherwise negotiated with a Supervisor, and to be in bed prior to curfew. I will not bring or use any of the following at camp: alcohol, drugs, cigarettes/vapes, pornography, weapons of any kind or anything that can be used in a dangerous way. (If a Leader or Volunteer is thought to have used alcohol, drugs or cigarettes/vapes or is thought to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol while at camp they will be asked to leave camp immediately.) Please don't bring valuables, laptops, homework, or anything that will distract you. Cell phones must not be used in sight of campers, after lights out, and must not be carried on you during the day unless prior approval is given from camp supervisors. Leaders must not leave the camp property without prior notification being given to Monique Riddell or senior staff member. If driving to/from camp, you must abide by the conditions of your licence. I.e. Restricted = no passengers, not driving after 10pm. Vehicles are not to be used during the camp without prior permission sought from Monique Riddell senior staff member. All of our Leaders and LiTs are required to a New Zealand Police Check. You abide by all other CYC rules and guidelines. I give permission for photos or movies taken during camps to be used for promotional purposes and/or uploaded onto social websites (Facebook, Instagram etc) by Christian Youth Camps Inc. I have read the rules and agree to abide by them while I'm at camp. I understand that if I break them I can be sent home from camp immediately, and/or asked not to return.

Are you interested in being either a leader or a helper during one of the school holiday Camps we run at CYC? We would love to have you!

Please fill out the Leaders Contract to the left, and also fill out the Police Vetting underneath this text box- you can email the vetting from along with a form of photo ID (or birth cert if photo ID unavailable) to leaders@cyc.org.nz. All of our leaders will be required to be police vetted. Once you have been successful in your leaders application, you can then register for the next Kids Camp - ask our Ministry Coordinator for the leaders coupon code.

We are always looking for:

Cabin Leaders (age 14+)
Helper Leaders (age 16+)
Leaders in Training (age 13+)

In order to keep training and growing our leaders, we require all of our LITS/Leaders to attend at least one of the two leadership training camps we run each year. These are for anyone aged 13 and up who is looking into becoming not only a leader at CYC holiday camps, but also in their everyday life outside of camp. This is a great weekend filled with lots of amazing food, fun, information and bible studies where you'll learn more about God.

Being a leader or helper at a holiday camp is one of the most rewarding and coolest things you can do in your holiday. In the space of 5 days you get to become a friend, a helper, a bed time story teller, a big brother/sister, a hero and a light for Jesus to an awesome bunch of kids you'll never forget, or who will never forget you! CYC is here to help you become the best you can in all of the above.
